Las Vegas, NV. April 15, 2021-Just weeks after LWDA made landfall back in the Southern Nevada Region, the organization was contacted via phone, by an anonymous Donor. Mystified at who this person could be, the kind and cordial person on the other end of the phone call asked to arrange for a donation to be given to Leah Willis Dance Arts in person.
After schedules were amicably set, CEO of LWDA, Ms. Willis met with the mysterious Angel Investor. The meeting was one of the most friendly, joyous and professional meetings of her life! The Donor asked that her name and work representation be kept anonymous, but allowed for her photo to be shown here, with Ms. Willis:
Donor: "I used to be a Dancer, and I love how you combine Dance with Academics." She began. "I was blessed with a gift, and I want to pay it forward. I believe strongly in paying it forward when you receive a blessing. I made a list of organizations that resonated with me, and yours was on that list. I absolutely love what you're doing, and I am happy to support you."
Ms. Willis: "I do not know what to say. This seemed completely out of the blue, but there is nothing, and I mean NOTHING that happens just by coincidence. My motto is, Once A Dancer, ALWAYS A Dancer! We are extremely grateful for this unexpected financial gift, and we are excited to put it to use for the benefit of the Youth!! Thank you so much!!"
The Angel Donor, as LWDA has referred to her, donated $500.00 on the spot!
